About our Crisis Relief program

Implemented in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, The Brightside Project Crisis Relief team is ready to meet they physical and emotional needs of Columbiana County and rural Mahoning County children during a crisis. In addition to responding to major crises, The Brightside Project has supported children who have experienced house fires, life-threatening illnesses, surgeries, home instability and trauma.

  • The Brightside Project is currently serving the community of East Palestine, Ohio, in response to the Feb. 3, 2023, train derailment in their village. Learn more about what The Brightside Project is doing in East Palestine here.

  • The Brightside Project has responded to individual families from time to time when individual crises arise.

  • In the midst of a crisis, check back for specific donations needed or feel free to make a financial contribution.

The Brightside Project has served more than 2,200 children in the East Palestine community since the Feb. 3, 2023, derailment occurred.
