About Backpacks for Kids
Columbiana County and rural Mahoning County students, preschool through 12th grade, are invited to The Brightside Project every August to choose a backpack filled with grade-appropriate school supplies at Backpacks for Kids.

No pre-registration is required. Parents/Guardians must bring proof of Columbiana County or rural Mahoning County residency.

During our Food for Kids giveaways on August 7 & August 21 from 3-7 p.m.
The Brightside Project distributed 588 backpacks full of school supplies in 2023.
